Our Youthful Days

This was a visual novel that I developed. The story is about a high school freshman who is forced to relive a loop of the first month of high school. The player’s choices determine the outcome of the story, and will produce different endings based on their interactions with the characters. This was my most ambitious project, because it allowed me to practice script writing, as well as different types of designing such as non-linear game design, UI design, and character design. I also used it as an opportunity to grow more familiar with Python beyond the limit of what I learned in school.

Cel-Shaded City

This was a project of mine where I wanted to try to use post processing and lighting to create cel-shaded designs similar to those found in games like Borderlands and The Walking Dead. The assets used were high resolution, so it took some workarounds to make it look like they had less polygons than they really had. This was an enjoyable project that helped me with my comfortability with post processing, and doing more advanced features than basic lighting enhancements.

Mountain Adventure

This was a small project I made taking place on a mountain top with a cache of hidden treasure, and was inspired by the Tibet region of Uncharted 2. The project was made for a friend’s birthday who liked the Uncharted series. In this project I tried to expand my horizons of rigging and animating skeletal meshes, by testing it with animals rather than humans and vehicles.
